Experimentation.

Upon purchasing my first Digital DSLR. I immediately began to experiment with the different settings on the camera. I usually adjusted a setting to it’s extreme, and slowly worked my way back to a neutral state. It helped me understand what each components function was and how it reacted to manual adjustment.

I was working on shooting with low light and micro focusing. I vaguely remember seeing a similar image like this in a magazine, so I tried replicating it.

Shutter speed allowed me to get a little more creative. I’ll spare you my over indulgence, and just share my favorite shots.

I got this idea from film photographers. Double Exposing is loads of fun. I really want to figure out how to have both subjects completely sold, not ghost like.

The next time you look in the mirror, just don’t scan for pimples or hair. Really take close look at how your eyes are shaped, how your nose sets, how your jawline looks, and the texture of your skin. If your anything like me, the longer you look the more you’ll realize how different you appear over the self visualization you carry your mind.

Something else I really need to work on is framing. It’s easy to become distracted while shooting, only to realize later that you cut their damn hand off.

You can do it two ways.1. Use hard alcohol, preferably the cheap shit. Take the photo immediately after a shot it taken. Whoever has worse post-shot face looses, and takes another one.

2. The alternative, and the most enjoyable way. Everyone stands back to back. Contort your face so much, that it makes Jim Carry proud. Take a selfie, whoever has the most grotesque or funny face wins, and is spared. The losers take a drink.
